The corollary of the financial scalability of the BinckBank business model is a mainly fixed cost base. When transaction volume is increasing, that is a significant advantage, but there is little room for correction if transaction income falls. The business is still largely dependent on transaction income, which in turn is affected by conditions on the financial markets. BinckBank's market capitalisation and low share price may make it vulnerable to takeover. The current capital base does not allow sufficient scope for acquisitions.
